Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Lady Lane Park School JustGiving page.
Our year 6 pupils (10 and 11 years old) have been studying mountain regions this year in Geography and were keen to raise money for Community Action Nepal to support families devastated by the earth quakes in 2015 which killed over 8000 people and injured over 20000, leaving many more homeless and financially ruined.
We will be attempting to climb the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen y ghent over 3 days in the summer term, covering over 30km and climbing more than 1600m. The children will be responsible for planning the routes, navigation on the trail and preparation of food at the bunkhouse.
We are all in training for this event and hope to raise awareness for the people of Nepal affected by this natural disaster through sponsorship for this amazing charity.
