We really need everything crossed by you over the next week!🤞🤞🐾🐾
Do you remember the (very nearly) 13 year old Bournville 💙 He had three cancerous growths in his eye removed last April (start of #lockdown by Specialist Ophthalmologist Pete @Debenham Vets. The growths have come back a couple of times over 2020, the last time Pete removed part of his inner eyelid in the hope of stopping its return.
Unfortunately, despite lots of tlc and many eye drops per day, the cancer has returned again and as before very aggressively and quick growth. Photo's below show the growth in just one week 😲 😭 His owners, who due to no fault of their own, in these unprecedented times are unable to afford for the specialist veterinary care needed to treat and remove the growths, but we said right at the beginning, a year ago, that we are in this right to the end 💪🐾, so again we have stepped up and made the full offer of help they need for Bournville.
After many conversations about options available and considering his age, on Thursday, he is booked in to Debenham Vets, where Pete will be removing Bournville's eye and as much in the cavity that is safe to do so. This we hope will sort this out once and for all. We just hope and pray that the results moving forward are positive.
We are probably the smallest Labrador specific rescue, but to us the Labrador comes first, not our bank balance!
However, please be aware that this can be the only offer of help from us due to our funding constraints 💷

We really need everything crossed by you over the next few days!🤞🤞🐾
This is (very nearly) 12 year old Bournville 💙 He had a growth in his eye last June which was successfully removed. As you can see, the growth has come back very aggressively and quickly, this is from the end of February to today 😭 His owners, who due to no fault of their own, in these unprecedented times are unable to afford for the specialist veterinary care needed to treat and remove both growths and asked us if we knew of anybody that could help them and their situation. That's where we stepped up to make the offer of the help they need for Bournville.
On Friday, he is booked in to Debenham Vets, where Pete 😎, a Veterinary Opthalmologist 👨⚕️, will be taking a CT Scan of Bournville's head and biopsies of the lumps. We just hope and pray that the results are positive.
