Story
I like running. I also like my job; raising funds for refugees. Recently I took a break from both to have a baby. On returning to work I read the article below. The project really struck a chord with me; it's local, practical and it's for refugees:

Room to Heal's community allotment turns nervous asylum-seekers and refugees into budding gardeners, helping them to recover from trauma. The garden is a simple and effective way to support some of the UK's most vulnerable people, in a city that many find challenging and isolating.
Running a 10k for Room to Heal is the sweet spot between getting fit again and doing something tangible for refugees, here in the UK.
Despite raising funds every day at work, I haven't done a personal challenge since the London Marathon back in, ahem...2007!!! So a decade on, I hope you will be as generous and supportive.
Thank you
Lydia
PS. I'm paying my own entry fee for the event, if you decide to sign up too, please think about doing the same.
