Story

LOROS is a local hospice that provide high quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers. We deliver care that is special and unique to each individual. Please read more on LOROS at http://www.loros.co.uk/about/about-loros/

Established in 2012 by a group of De Montfort University students, Riders of Shaam has since gone on to host annual cycle rides to different parts of Europe. All for worthy causes and selected charities the group has managed to raise over £115, 000.

WHAT IS REQUIRED?
This year we wanted to help a local charity and we got in touch with LOROS as many of the members have experienced the service with their family members. LOROS have requested new specialised patient beds

For patients with an increased risk of falling out of bed, the Völker™ S 582 low-height bed
provides maximum protection to reduce the occurrence and severity of falls. Falls can delay rehabilitation and lead to loss of autonomy as well as having other implications for both hospital and patient.

100% Donation Policy

LOROS have also agreed to provide a 100% donation policy to ensure that all funds are spent solely on the purchase of these new beds.
