Story
The Young Center is a champion for the best interests of children who arrive in the United States on their own, from all corners of the world. We serve as trusted allies for these children while they are in deportation proceedings, advocating for their best interests, and standing for the creation of a dedicated children’s immigrant justice system that ensures the safety and well-being of every child.
Giving Tuesday, celebrated on December 1 this year, is a global day of giving and solidary, a day for people around the world to donate to and raise awareness about the causes and nonprofits they care about. At the Young Center, Giving Tuesday is essential for us reaching our fundraising goals for the year. This year, we hope to raise $100,000 to support our work with unaccompanied and separated immigrant children facing deportation.
Donations are tax-deductible and matched, up to $25,000. Also, this year only, as part of the CARES ACT, you can take a tax deduction of up to $300 for donations, even if you take the standard deduction. Your donation means we will be able to serve more children escaping violence and persecution and no amount is too small.
