Story

Yn Mis Rhagfyr 2019 cefais i (Llinos) diagnosis Canser y Coluddyn yn 38 mlwydd oed, y peth olaf yr oedden yn ei ddisgwyl a trodd ein bywyd wyneb i waered.  Mi welais y consultant gyntaf nol yn Mis Rhagfyr 2018 achos y symptomau oedd genai, a dywedodd wrthaf ei fod yn debygol o fod yn hemorrhoids gan fy mod wedi cael 4 o blant, a yn rhy ifanc i'r symptomau fod yn ddim byd difrifol i boeni am.

Roeddwn yn ddigon ffodus i dderbyn llawdriniaeth a chemotherapi gan dim arbennig o llawfeddygon, doctoriaid a nyrsus yn Ysbyty Maelor yn Wrecsam. Dwi'n falch iawn o allu dweud bod fy nhriniaeth wedi bod yn llwyddiannus.

Mae fy ngwr Meirion yn gwneud y sialens  plastro 24 awr ar 28ain o Hydref. Mae Mei yn gwenud y sialens ddim yn unig i hel pres at Bowel Cancer UK, ond hefyd i godi ymwybyddiaeth a codi'r neges eich bod byth yn rhy ifanc i gael diagnosis Canser y Colyddun neu unrhyw Ganser arall. #NEVERTOOYOUNG

Os oes ganddoch unrhyw symptomau peidiwch oedi mynd i weld eich Doctor, oherwydd mae cael diagnosis cynnar yn allweddol.

In December 2019 I (Llinos) was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer at the age of 38, which was the last thing we were expecting and turned our world upside down. I had originally seen the consultant due to my symptoms in December 2018 and was told it was probably hemorrhoids as I have 4 children, and was considered too young for my symptoms to be anything to worry about.

I was fortunate enough to receive life -saving surgery in January 2020 followed by chemotherapy from a fantastic team of surgeons, doctors and nurses at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. I am very pleased to be able to say that my treatment has been successful.

My Husband Meirion is doing this 24hr plastering challenge on the 28th of October. Mei is doing the challenge not only to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK, but to also raise awareness and get the message out there that you are never too young to be diagnosed with Bowel Cancer or any other cancer #NEVERTOOYOUNG

If you have any symptoms you should not hesitate to see your GP as early diagnosis is key.

The symptoms are on the Bowel cancer website
