Story
Between 29th March and 7th April, I'm joining my friends Kath, Simon and Will to cycle from Land's End to John o'Groats, about 1000 miles. As we're all a bit mad, we're doing it over Easter (it will be c-c-cold in Scotland) at a rate of around 100 miles a day without a rest day. Even as an experienced cyclist the statistics are a bit daunting, just the first two days will involve nearly 20,000 feet of hill climbing. We're paying for the trip from our own pockets and won't have a support vehicle for most of the trip. You'll be able to follow our training and trip on Facebook and Twitter.
I don't really believe in sponsorship unless somethings going to hurt a little, and believe me this will. As we all know someone who's suffered from cancer, I've decided to use the opportunity to raise funds from Cancer Research. Please dig in deep for the sake of my sore legs and rear-end!
...and if you're feeling extra generous, Will is also fund raising for Cystic Fibrosis here: https://www.justgiving.com/LEJOG4CF
