2019 sees the 50th anniversary of the founding of Leighton Buzzard Mencap, and to mark the occasion we are participating in the Rushmere parkrun on Saturday 28thSeptember 2019. We shall be providing volunteers to help organise the run and are hoping that many of our friends and supporters will join the run itself.

Leighton Buzzard Mencap provides a variety of services to people with learning disabilities and is keen to raise awareness of all that they can contribute to the community. We run evening clubs for 8 to 18 year-olds and their siblings, and for adults, and during the school summer holidays a Holiday Club for school age children. Our Opportunity Group offers support to families who have recently had a child diagnosed with learning disability and we are strong supporters of the Rotary Club’s sport for all project “Yes we can!”. This all costs money and we are extremely grateful for all donations that help us to continue our work.
