24hr hockey match marathon for Mind
We all know someone who’s been affected by mental health issues and we also know the hugely positive impact sport, and in particular team sports like hockey can have on supporting wellbeing. So our friends at Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club have decided to put their sticks together for charity, and will be running a 24hour hockey match to raise money for local mental wellbeing charity Mind BLMK.
The game will start at 1pm on Saturday May 14th and run through the night to 1pm Sunday. And what’s even better, everyone is able to take part. It’s an all inclusive family affair including juniors, seniors, walking hockey, as well as our own flyerz section ‘Yes We Can’ - all taking on the challenge to raise money for a charity whose aim is ‘to make sure no-one has to face a mental health problem alone’.
How can you help?
The best way to give our friends at LBHC a huge hockey high five is to donate.
And of course, like, share and promote on your social media channels to show everyone how our hockey community is dedicated to coming together to support those who need a helping hand.
