Fundraising for Amazon Conservation
Story
Hi!
I'm Kyathil, a Swedish streamer on Twitch, and decided to arrange this fundraiser to preserve the Amazons since I do think the importance of the rain forests are not highlighted enough and I want to help out economically, but also through spreading awareness. It is also a way for me, as a streamer, to show people outside of the gaming world what we can achieve when we stand united :) The fundraiser is already graced by a very generous anonymous donor who will donate $1.000 for every $100 raised (with a cap of $10.000! Completely mind-blowing!
On 16th of November I will throw a 10 hour live stream with giveaways, challenges and community games for this fundraiser! Thank you SO much to Bandai Nordic, Xtrfy, Angry Demon Studio and Raiser Games for the prizes!
The chosen organization, Amazon Conservation Association, is a non-profit organization that has been working with the preservation of Amazons for over 20 years and working on different levels to achieve that. I chose this because they've done some pretty amazing work in the past and seem trustworthy. You can read about them here:

The donation goal was chosen since the organization have different donation tiers listed, with the second largest ($500) described like this:
Your $500 donation can:
- Provide a scholarship to a young researcher to study the Amazon at one of our field stations
- Buy a solar panel to boost power at one of our biological stations
- Support a month of surveys in the Los Amigos Conservation Concession to track long-term trends in Amazonian animal communities
AND with the generous donor, for every $1.000 the association can fund these amazing efforts:
- Protect forest habitat for jaguars
- Help an indigenous community preserve its ancestral lands
- Buy a laptop for the Amazon’s most active research station, providing young researchers access to the Internet and online scientific literature
- Provide one month's salary and benefits plus the cost of fuel for patrols for a park ranger at the Los Amigos Conservation Concession
