We respond to the world’s worst crises to help people survive &rebuild their lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Seven years ago, in 2009, I visited Syria, with my parents. I fondly remember how welcoming and kind all the people there were, and how beautiful both Damascus and Palmyra were.

I am absolutely shocked to see what has happened since. It's sad to think that the people we met in Syria are now experiencing very difficult times. Who knows, some of those people may even be refugees in Europe.

I am walking the 309km from St Bees, on the Irish Sea Coast, to Robin Hood's Bay, on the North Sea Coast. This is the same distance as from Damascus to Palmyra via Homs (a city and transport hub almost totally destroyed by the war).

Please help me to support refugees from Syria as well as other locations around the globe.

Any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Kuba Williams
