Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 19th and 20th July David Walton and Myself will be taking on the UK Coast to Coast cycling challenge. We will begin with our wheels in the Irish sea on the west coast of England in Whitehaven and finish in the North sea on the East coast in Tynemouth. The C2C cycle is over 150 miles and crosses some of the highest peaks we have in the UK with the highest point being over 2000 feet.

We will begin on the Saturday morning at approximately 6am and cycle for 10-12 hours, hoping to cover 90 miles. Have a beer and then collapse in to bed, ready for the next day and the remaining 60 miles of pain.

150 miles itself is a serious challenge, but add in the steep climbs across the Pennines and the Lake District National Park and it becomes a tough weekend.

We all know that Derian House is an amazing cause worth donating to, so please give what you can. Derian House are currently supporting more than 300 families who have a child with a life shortening illness, and a further 200 who are receiving bereavement support. For them, Derian House is the means by which they deal with the highs and lows of their child's illness and its aftermath.

I know we all get asked quite often for donations but please consider the amazing work that Derian House do and the children they do it for.

Any donation is genuinely, really appreciated by David and Myself.
