Brighton Marathon 2017 · 9 April 2017 ·

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

Tim Maakestad, Ruth Tomkin Munro, Terry Burgum and Jake Standing of Kreston Reeves ran the Brighton Marathon on 9 April, in aid of supporting Chestnut Tree House; the children's hospice of Sussex.

The team joined over 12,000 people from across a variety of backgrounds, from fun runners to elite athletes, as they laced up their trainers to take part in the eighth Brighton Marathon, on what was the hottest day of the year so far!

This is a great achievement for our team, some of whom had never run a marathon before. The group all committed to the necessary hours to prepare themselves for this charity challenge - running on average three times per week as part of an uncompromising 12 week training regime.
