Story
Frodo was found in a terrible condition. Having suffered years of neglect he was found to be severely matted,
underweight, suffering ear infections, so chronic he was deaf. His cataracts was so advanced that he was thought to be totally blind.
Despite his ill treatment he welcomed his rescuers hands of help
and soon received the initial treatment he needed to make him more
comfortable.
He was placed in a foster home and was soon enjoying much needed
home comforts and care. After a couple of weeks building up his strength and increasing his weight, he was deemed fit enough for a much needed dental. He had some extractions and after recovery, felt so much better for not having a sore mouth and much to our delight he soon began to play!
With every day that passes he becomes a happier and more settled
dog. We can't give him his hearing back, but there is a chance that we can open up his world. To show him that life has joy and that people smile and are kind. An operation to remove the cataracts on his right eye has been quoted at approximately £4000, we would dearly love to be able to give him this chance of being able to see again. Please support Frodo's fund in any way that you may be able..
Below is a note from his fosterer....
Frodo spirit is amazing, if ever a dog had a can do attitude, well that's Frodo. Once he learnt to walk on a lead there was no stopping him, he'll go tearing ahead with every faith that you'll stop him if any obstacles are there! He certainly knows his own mind and will make it very clear if he's not happy with the direction we are walking, sometimes he will try to do doggy zoomies but with not being able to see he will just do small circles and it can be sad to see. He loves to play with tennis ball but they will keep rolling away! If Frodo is given the opportunity to see again it would be so wonderful for him to interact the way we know he wants to.
