Story

I did say that was done with Marathon running, it was a silly and it was a big commitment to train for one!

Interestingly my last marathon was the Potteries Marathon, which was actually quite a nice experience as I ran round with a couple of friends who were just aiming on getting around. It was the marathon before that in London 2015 that really put me off marathons, yet here I am signed up to run Edinburgh at the end of May. Whilst I have still be running it has been a troubled relationship between me and my trainers; whilst I have often enjoyed the thought of running but the actual physical act of running was disappointing. It might have been burn out or boredom I am not really sure, but I was signing up to less and less races and barely making any type of running appearance at parkrun, which was unheard of.

However, I have dusted off the marathon training plans to help raise money for University Hospital of North Midlands Bowel Cancer Unit. Cancer has struck my immediate family again and at the minute we have a positive story to tell, which is largely down to the medical research and excellent treatment we have had at UHNM.

If you want to keep an update on my training and the random thoughts I get when I am running you can find out all of these on my blog at https://girllikestorun.blogspot.com/?m=1
