This pattern was the result of a knitting pattern design challenge, to use a knitting technique that is new to you. It uses the double-knitting technique to make a two-layer fabric to keep your drink warmer and your fingers safe from the hot cup.

The pattern itself is free to download from Ravelry.com but I'm asking people to give a donation to Marie Curie in exchange for the pattern. My family isn't the only one to have had need for Marie Curie's services so I'm asking for donations to the charity to help any another family which finds itself in the same position.
