We are thrilled to announce we have chosen Heart Research UK as our charity partner of the year - Our fundraising partnership will run until December 2022.

At Number One, Kirkstall Forge we are passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle. Just as we are at the heart of the Kirkstall Forge regeneration, Heart Research UK has been at the heart of pioneering work in the prevention, treatment, and cure of heart disease since 1967, when the charity was founded right here in Leeds.

Cardiovascular disease affects 7 million people across the UK, and Yorkshire is one of the worst affected regions with figures above the national average.

The money raised during our partnership will be invested in pioneering medical research, including their latest project looking into the effects of COVID-19 on the heart.

Upcoming events include a bike-a-thon, football tournament and a ‘donation per dish’ at our Butlers café, throughout the duration
of the partnership.
