We challenge attitudes on mental health to help anyone affected by mental illness

Story

Sadly, on the 6th July 2018 my dad, at the age of 58, passed away.

He fought a long battle and struggled with poor mental health, which ultimately cost him his life.

I know that if dad had been in a position where mental health support was more readily available, Dad could still be here today.

It’s heartbreaking to think that Dad did not feel that he was able to reach out for help 💔

No one should feel that way...

He was an extremely loving, hardworking and intelligent man. I know that he would do anything to help others. I wish I could have done more for him.

In his honour, on the anniversary of his passing,  I am raising money for Rethink Mental Illness - a charity which improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness through services and local groups, expert information and training, and successful campaigning. Making sure everyone affected by severe mental illness has a good quality of life.

The assault course is 8km and is packed full of ‘military style’ obstacles 😅💪

I’ll be taking part with my friends and PTs from ‘Transform Ladies Fitness & Bootcamp’ - since losing dad the past 12 months have been really tough. One thing that has kept me focused and on track has been exercise and the people I’ve met at Bootcamp. So thank you ☺️

If you choose to donate I want to let you know how truly grateful I am. It means an awful lot.

Thank you so much!

Love,

Kim (and Dad) ❤️
