"As most of you know my husband, Andrew Kennedy was tragically killed on 29th August 2009 in a road traffic collision.  Andrew was loved my so many, including myself, family and many of his friends.  Andrew is sadly missed by all who knew him, and he was an inspiration to others.

 

A team of family and friends are participating in a number of events in 2010 to raise money for the Charity Brake, both in memory of Andrew and also to raise money for this much needed charity that helps families and loved ones bereaved or injured by road traffic collisions.  Did you know that eight people a day are killed on roads in Britain?

Team Kens will be taking part in the following events:

 

Leeds Half Marathon - 9th May 2010 (participating: Kim Kennedy) - completed in 1 hours and 35 mins and in the top ten of female participants!  This run was well hard (hilly and steep) and much more difficult than when I completed in the Great North Run in 2007.......

 

Manchester 10k - 16th May 2010 (participating: Kim Kennedy, Sarah Kennedy, Matthew Egan, Lee Greenwood, Jonathan Dakin and Katie Atkinson - each one of us completed this run with P.B's!!);

 

Great North Run - 19th September 2010; (participating: Kim Kennedy, Matthew Egan, Lee Greenwood, Jonathan Dakin, Sean Hefford, Martin Bell, Katie Atkinson, and James Watson);

 

Yorkshire Three Peaks - 29th August 2010 (participating: Kim Kennedy).
