Story

As many of you know, I suffer from ME/CFS. I have decided to do Dry January this year to raise money and awareness for the condition.

I have suffered from ME since I was 17. It can be debilitating, and soul destroying. The basic symptoms I suffer from are extreme chronic fatigue, lack of energy, brain fog, and an inability to work. As far as some people that suffer from this condition, I have it lightly as many are completely bed bound, but that doesn't make my fight any less difficult.

ME is an invisible illness. You can't see just by looking at me that I'm sick. There are many in both the medical community, and the general public that don't believe that it's a true condition, that sufferers are just lazy or faking it to get attention. Believe me, that is not the truth. I would do anything to be healthy - hence why any money that I raise doing this is going to a charity that is helping raise awareness and conducts research. While a cure may not happen in my lifetime, maybe it will be able to help a future generation of sufferers.
