Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Tuesday 21st December my beautiful kind caring daughter was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour and given 9-10 months to live. This cruel world decided that we could only have 6 and took her far too early. She was so brave, thoughtful and a complete one in a million that someone else must have needed her more than us to have taken her away so young. Our world was turned upside down and we could not believe it. She started radiotherapy on 29 December and we celebrated New Year in London and watched the fireworks from the top floor of the hospital. I could not be more proud of how she dealt with her tumour which she named Esmeralda she didn’t grumble or complain and still thought of everyone else ensuring everyone else was looked after. Even on extremely high dose steroids the “roid rage” didn’t kick in and she kept her cool and stayed the kind and thoughtful girl she had always been only getting cross once over wanting a Greggs sausage roll and throwing a shoe at Mark and then was upset with herself for getting angry. She very quickly lost her battle against the tumour and ended up at Frimley Park in February having lost all her mobility. After nearly a week she came back and we took her to Cornwall for a holiday which she loved. On 31 March she moved into Shooting Stars Hospice where she was cared for by the exceptional staff there. She was really happy and loved by them all. I am so grateful to them as it meant I could be Ellie’s mum again and not her carer. Special thanks go out to her 2 favourite people Georgia and Tasha who she adored. We would be grateful for any donations to the hospice instead of flowers for the funeral to show our appreciation for this amazing place.
