Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My dad, Chris Weston, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2015, and passed away in 2017. Research into the causes of, and possible cures for, this terrible disease are still at a very early stage. 30% of people with MND die within a year of diagnosis, and 50% die within two years.
The MND Association is the only charity funding both research into MND, and providing much-needed practical support to people with MND. They supported dad with loans of mobility equipment, which helped him to maintain his independence throughout his illness. The MNDA also provides a wealth of information to families and medical professionals.
I am taking part in the East Kent MNDA Coastal Walk to D'Feet MND on Saturday May 18th. All money donated will go to the MNDA. My hope is that a cure will be found in the very near future. "A world free from MND".
Many thanks, Kim
