Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!

This will be my 5th charity bike ride and 6th trip raising money for charity.  I fund the trips myself ensuring that 100% of all money raised goes straight to the charity.  

Make-A-Wish is a charity so close to our hearts and I am so happy to be once again raising money for such a charity.

I will be cycling Costa Rica Coast to Coast challenge and covering over 430km in just 6 days.  This challenge is classed as extreme and will certainly be testing my stamina and strength.  Days 3 and 4 look to be the hardest with over a 1300m ascent (per day) climb over rough unpaved rocky roads.  On these two days alone the prediction is a cycling time of 9-10 hours (each day).  Just over half of the challenge is on dirt and unpaved rocky roads.  Apart from the cycling and heat, I will also be dealing with (or hopefully not dealing with) some rather nasty snakes and spiders, I will be shaking my clothes (as instructed to) very vigorously and will not be walking bare foot at any time.
