Thank you so much for visiting my fund raising page!
At the age of 27 I'm having my boobs removed to prevent breast cancer and I'm trying hard to raise awareness and money along the way!
Last year I found out that I carried the brca2 gene mutation meaning that I have an 87% chance of developing breast cancer, because of this I'm having a full double mastectomy to reduce my risk to around 4% (the average women has a 12% risk)
Both mum and my half sister have both been diagnosed with breast cancer at a relatively young age (48 and 30) but are now safely in remission. I want to say thank you to charities such as Breast Cancer Care for all of their hard work and research that helped my family survive and provided me with a warning and a choice.
So because having a mastectomy isn't hard enough I'm being crazy and aiming to compete 20k of mud, high walls, monkey bars, ice pits, hill runs, electrocution and a full range of obstacles!
Anything you could spare would be greatly appreciated.
