Never a pair to turn down a challenge, when the opportunity came up to compete in a swim marathon, we jumped straight in.

No strangers to endurance events, with multiple ironman triathlons between us, you'd think a swim would be taken in our stride.  You would be wrong, neither of us has ever swam this distance and training has shown that there is a gulf between a 2.4 mile IM swim and a 6.2 mile swim marathon.

We want undertake this challenge to raise money for WellChild and the amazing work they do supporting children with complex care needs.  Kieran undertakes landscaping projects for the charity and see's first hand, the impact WellChild has on the day to day life of these children and their families.

A single garden project costs the charity £2000 in materials alone. We would like to fund one of these projects and give a child an outside space where they can be safe and able to thrive at home with their family.
