Story
Kids4Togo was created by a group of children and their families from St. George’s Church in Dumfries who wanted to do something to help other children and their families hit hard by COVID-19. Thanks to the Church’s links with Compassion UK, the team quickly realised that they wanted to fundraise for Compassion’s Planting a Way Through the Storm project, which will provide seeds and fertiliser to 1016 children and their families in Togo, Africa.
To raise funds, we will be doing lots of fun and exciting fundraising events, and with your help, we hope to raise as much money as possible to send to Togo to allow seeds and fertiliser to be given out to as many families as possible.
We have managed to complete our first challenge: a virtual trek across Togo, whereby the team were challenged to walk, run or cycle 360 miles along the length of Togo by the end of January.
Challenge two is our Taste4Togo Challenge:
Taste 3 foods and guess what they are ✅
Donate £3 @ link below ✅
Nominate 3 friends ✅
Challenge three: Virtual Trek Home From Togo and we need your help!
For a donation of £5 to our Just Giving page, you can walk, jog, cycle, swim or scooter as many miles as you wish to count towards our 3217 mile journey!
All donations, regardless of size, will make a real difference to the children and their families in Togo. Just £29.53 will provide enough seeds and fertiliser to feed one family suffering from malnutrition for 7 months.
Thank you so very much for your support.
