Fundraising for OCULAR MELANOMA UK
Our uncle Paul, born and bred in Blackburn was in the British Army for six years during the seventies, before taking up work at a technology company ‘Promethean’ - retiring as company director after 30 years with the company.
Paul was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer (Ocular Melanoma) and despite having the Cancer removed using specialist laser treatment, the Cancer had already spread to his liver and sadly we lost our dear Paul and he is truly missed by everyone.
By setting up this fundraising page we would like to raise awareness about this rare form of Cancer and warn others to get their eyes checked, regardless.
My family and I, will be completing our own individual challenges throughout March to raise funds for this particular Charity who support cancer patients and their families.
I personally will be completing 50 miles a week during March to support this fundraising challenge.
It would mean so much to me, my family and others out there that have been affected by Cancer, if you could help us out and donate to this page so that we can hopefully make a difference.
Thank you !!
