Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Kiaragh and I am 14. In June 2017, our family lost our beloved Poppa Jim to Pancreatic Cancer. He fought a brave battle but it is one of the cancers that is very difficult to detect and doesn't present itself till it's too late to do anything about it. I want to raise awareness and educate people about possible signs to look out for to try and improve survival rates.
I also want to help to fund research into why this type is so lethal and ways to try and beat it. If losing Poppa Jim means we can help try and find a cure or ways of slowing it down, then someone else won't have to go through what we did and he would still be making a difference to someones else life like he did to mine.
Poppa had a list of places he wanted to go but never got the chance. Dad and I are going to fill his shoes, plant a tree in his memory and go through the sun gate. We want to raise a £1 per metre climbed by the end of this year. Machu Picchu mountains is 2683. Please support dad and I, every penny helps.
Thank you, Kiaraghx
