Story
My challenge is to cycle 578 miles (including 28,000 ft of ascent) over six-and-half days between 4th & 10th June 2011 between Scotland's most northerly point (Dunnet Head) and its most southerly point (The Mull of Galloway) alongside two friends.
Most of you will know that nowadays I am built more for comfort rather than speed, so this will be a strong challenge for myself. However, As an ex-servicemen myself I am keen to support those who continue to give their all for their country in the most difficult and challenging of circumstances.
The cycling challenge I am about to undertake was never originally planned with fundraising in mind. However, the three of us that are undertaking the challenge decided that we should look to push ourselves that little bit harder in order that we set ourselves a strong personal and physical challenge so that we can look to support those that have given way more than we can ever give through a weeks cycling.
I hope you will support me in this challenge and in doing so will support those people who have given so much.
