Story
So just 2 weeks before Christmas my brother-in-law Chris (aged just 45) suffered a large & life altering stroke, that the doctors believe was brought on after heading the ball during a charity football match he played that same day. He has not only lost the use of his left hand side but also his sight in his left eye too, and all this whilst in the midst of a global pandemic!!
It’s been absolutely heartbreaking for his family, they have had barely no time to see him or visit him due to restrictions and had to spend Christmas without him and now being moved into tier 4 means they are not even allowed in the hospital 💔
Chris, his wife Sharon and their two kids Cieran and Emily live in Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, while most of his family (including my wife Nicci) live in South Wales, and due to Covid travel and mixing restrictions we feel so helpless that we are unable to do anything for him or his family, and are not able to travel and see them 😢
So I thought, “what can I do to help and to make a difference to him and them?!” 🤔and I have decided to try run a marathon for charity 😳🏃🏽♂️ I will be doing it for the Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland charity as they are going to be crucial for his recovery and to hopefully have him back home where he belongs ASAP!!!
All donations welcomed, I know times are hard but every little helps and will mean so much to Chris and his family and this very distressing and hard time💙💪🏼
