Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October, 3 friends and I are walkied the Offa's Dyke Trail from Chepstow on the River Severn Estuary to Prestatyn on the North Wales coast. It was 177 miles on the official path but because of walking to and from our accomodation, we completed 186 in 12 days!
I personally wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of my mother-in-law, Sheila Holden who sadly died after suffering bowel cancer in January 2010.
I'm really grateful to all those kind people who have donated to my page and/or sponsored me. I'm also very proud of the figure I've raised so far - the final amount will still go higher!
Any money you can afford to donate, will help me make my personal contribution towards fighting this terrible disease which claims far too many of our loved ones.
We enjoyed the walk but it was a very long way with lots of steep hills to climb and descend - not for the faint hearted. Thank you to Jon, Steve and Gordon for their company along the way and to you if you've donated to the charity!
