Story
August 8th update.
The bad news is - due to circumstances beyond my control, I am no longer able to do the full Thames Path Challenge .
The good news is - I will be taking on the Thames Bridges Trek instead!
2022 edit. Deferred due to illness, I'll be taking it on solo this year - Annie will be with me in spirit.
I should have been taking part in the 2020 Thames Path Challenge for Cats Protection next month, with fellow Mrs Slocombe's Posse team member Annie Davies, but CoVid19 put paid to that. Having been rescheduled for 2021 when we both celebrated milestone birthdays, in the meantime I took on multiple Nine Mile Challenges in September 2021 to try and raise as much as possible. All charities have seen their income plummet as a result of the closure of their shops for a prolonged period, and the cancellation of fundraising events, and Cats Protection are no exception, so any amount that you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. Cats Protection has simple and clear objectives to help cats: Homing - Finding good homes for cats in need. Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats. Information - Improving people’s understanding of cats and their care. Achieving this vision is only made possible due to kind cat lovers who support our work.
