Please support me and help empower young people & those in crisis, facing the risk of homelessness or having nowhere to turn. Working for YMCA Burton, i see first hand the difference their work makes to peoples lives. A number of the young people i meet are often dealing with many issues, body image, anxiety, depression, family conflict and need support to improve stability and well-being. We offer non-judge-mental help and support to do this, from listening, to guidance with budgeting, cooking healthy meals, art therapy and taking part in fun outdoor activities. Bringing our young  people together helps to combat isolation, build friendships and get active. It is fantastic to see a young person develop their self esteem, build new friendships and start to build a positive future. 

YMCA Burton offers accommodation for 71 people every day of the year. They also provide a foodbank, mediation and counselling to compliment housing support. With no statutory funding, they are relying more and more on fundraising initiatives.
