We are the UK wide charity working to support seriously ill children

Story

Friends, colleagues and AGS Members, Many thanks for all your support.

(Please see attached Letter below).

We have changed 'target' to represent total monies pledged for the 'Big Jump', at various events during 2011.

Raised so far represents monies collected to date.

We have raised over £50,000 in total, which is a great achievement, thanks to all your support, and will make a real difference to the Children and their families.

Letter

I wanted to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported my fund raising for Children’s Hospices UK during my year as Captain of the Aircraft Golfing Society.

The level of support has been overwhelming, total monies raised currently stand in excess of £50,000.

All funds raised by the Captain, go to the Captains nominated charity. Monies raised at AGS events are split 50/50 with the Societies charity which is the Variety Club.

I was therefore delighted to present Nick Appleby from Children’s Hospices UK, an interim cheque for £37,000 at the AGS Christmas Luncheon, held at the Hilton Park Lane yesterday.

In addition, the Variety Club receives a cheque for £13,000 towards another Sunshine Coach.

(we won’t have an exact number for a few weeks, as monies are still being donated/collected).

In particular I must thank my caring colleagues for volunteering me for a sponsored Skydive, the 8’000’ freefall from 13’000’ in 40secs, was much appreciated!!

A fabulous experience made all the more worthwhile, knowing it was for such a great cause.

Thanks also to Ian Peart, who ran the Great North Run, in aid of the Charity.
