If you cycled from England to mainland Canada, the shortest distance you could complete the trip would be 2080 miles. This is the closest distance with a journey starting at Workington Pier in Cumbria, England, and ending at Indian Tickle in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Obviously, you could not literally cycle across the water! So I have decided to recreate the distance doing a tour around the UK. This trip will take me through all 4 countries within the United Kingdom and also through Ireland. 2080 miles in 22 days, thats 95 miles a day.
