Story
On the night of 28th September I will be taking part in the Shine for Cancer Research marathon - walking 26.2 miles in a full circuit across London wearing as many glow in the dark items and facepaints as I can find.
As many of you know, Mama Obia had a tough 2012, but I am happy to report that she beat breast cancer and is back on the the road to recovery. This would not have been possible without all the efforts and fantastic work that Cancer Research carries out day after day. What many of you wont know, is that during Mama O's personal battle with cancer she lost a dear friend to the same illness, which sadly came in the form of a brain tumour. Brain tumours are notoriously hard to treat and take the lives of over half the people diagnosed with them...This is why I have decided to Shine for Brain Cancer Research.
Please dig deep and sponsor me – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.
Every year around 9,100 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Cancer Research UK is a major funder of brain tumour research in the UK and we want to see a day when this disease is cured.
Amazing people like you help support Cancer Research UK’s research into new treatments for brain tumours. By sponsoring me you can help more people survive brain cancer.
Every pound you donate really does make a difference towards the work into diagnosing and treating brain tumours – so please sponsor me now!
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Let’s beat cancer sooner.
