Story
My son Joe and I will be cycling 180 miles all the way from London to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. We are doing this to raise funds for the Care of Police Survivors (COPS) charity who support families of officers and staff killed in the line of duty.
We also ride in memory of the fallen officers and staff to show that we will never forget, show that we care and raise awareness.
The UK Police Unity Tour is a cycle ride undertaken by hundreds of police officers and staff from around the UK. A Service of Remembrance will be held on conclusion of the cycle ride at the Memorial in Staffordshire.
COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives. Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
We would be very grateful for a donation to the COPS charity for this long distance cycle ride. Thank you so much in advance. Regards from Kerry and Joe.
