Story
I am aiming to cover at least 300 miles during November, mostly by cycling, with a bit of running as well. Why? Well partly as I know I'll find it harder to get outside as the weather gets worse, and the best way to motivate myself is to set myself a challenge! But mainly to raise money for the Friendship Project, who do amazing work supporting children and young people in Warwickshire, by linking up those who need some one-on-one support with volunteers. The girl I've been meeting up with for five years is now 15, and as well as having a lot of fun over the last 5 years (and eating a lot of ice-cream!), I have also seen her confidence and self-esteem grow hugely. Much has been written about the impact Covid-19 has had on young people in particular, and this is one way of supporting them. If you can donate even a small amount, it will help the Friendship Project support even more children.
