Story
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my JustGiving page.
So for the last four years, I have objected in the strongest terms to dressing up like an idiot, dragging myself to Burghley Park at a ridiculous time on a Sunday morning and marching round in the freezing cold.
But I have agreed to do it this year - and why? Because my godson Oliver would have found the whole thing hilarious! He loved fun and mischief and Christmas and after all, Christmas really is all about the kids.
Plus any money raised goes to a fantastic cause - the HR Trust, which funds research into a cure for HLH, which Oliver died of in June aged two years and four months.
Olly really was an amazing little boy and a smile from him is all it took to put a smile on my face. It only takes a few pennies from you and a bit of motivation from me to get around Burghley Park dressed as Santa and maybe it will save another family from the pain and grief everyone who knew Olly has been through. That's got to be worthwhile and worth the mocking in the office.
So on that note, please dig deep and give what you can! Thanks, Erry x
