Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, I’m Kerry, a mother of two boys from Peterborough and someone who has always enjoyed running. After being lucky enough to secure a ballot place after years of applying I ran the virtual London Marathon in 2020. I now get the chance to run the marathon for the second time in April 2024, again for my chosen charity - Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.
Since I ran my first marathon, I gave birth to my little boy Jude and returned to full time work squeezing training miles in where I can. Despite some early mornings and late night sessions I still enjoy the how running keeps me fit and helps with my mental health. I feel incredibly privileged again to be taking on the challenge of training for a marathon whilst raising as much as I can for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.
I’d be over the moon to reach my target donation for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, so please, if you’re able to, donate whatever you can – be it £1 or £20 – and support my quest to conquer the London Marathon in
2024. Any and all donations will mean so much to me and will make a real impact on the patients at Thorpe Hall.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
