Story

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As some of you know my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s quite unexpectedly. It was a disease we knew little about and have discovered it’s a disease which is becoming more prevalent.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time and as yet there is no cure. Most people consider Parkinson’s to be a disease which just causes tremors but this is only one of more than 40 symptoms which can include stiffness, slowness of movement and non motor symptoms such as depression and anxiety.

Parkinson’s UK are doing some amazing work into looking for a cure and they have many trials going on but they need funds to keep the momentum going. Due to this my cousin Carolyn and I are taking on the 25km Thames Bridge ultra challenge on the 9th September, so please help us to raise as much as possible to help this cause.

Thank you

 Kerry xx
