Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be doing a skydive hopefully on the 8th of october 2016 (although this could change) as it is something i have always wanted to do and has been top of my bucket list for a while.

I had been looking into different charitys trying to decide which one i should raise money for; when my manager at work got an email from a colleague at Home start central bedfordshire saying that they had teamed up with another company, meaning that people could do skydives in order to raise money for home start.

Home start is on of the UKs leading charity's for giving support to families. Home start offers support to families and children for many different reasons, e.g. bereavement, disabiltiy, poverty, domestic abuse, etc. In order to give children and families the best start in life and the support they need.

Being a nursery nurse, this charity is something close to my heart as i work with families and children every day and understand how important support is for families and young people. Home start is also a service that people could need at any time in life and which can make so many changes to lives of families for the better.

I have previously raised money for cancer research by completing race for life a couple of times, which i intend to continue to do every year. But it does feel great to be raising money for a local charity which will be helping people in my community :)

So please sponsor me in order to help other families to have the best possible start in life and to recieve life changing support! Any shares of my page would also be greatly appreciated!!

About the charity

Right now, many families with young children struggle alone with mental ill health, sickness, bereavement, disabilities and additional needs, domestic abuse, poverty, and more. Together, we can support these families to see a Bedfordshire where all our children have a safe and happy childhood.
