Story
It’s with a very heavy heart that on Thursday one of my best friends Kenny Collins has sadly passed 😢
I am so sad to do this post but also with time reflect he bought so much joy that he would not want us to be sad.
Kenny was the most devoted man I know and a massive inspiration to everyone that was lucky enough to know him. He had amazing energy and would play 36 holes in day then go fishing!!
He was an amazing Husband to Jackie ,father to Gary, Claire and Katie, brother, grandfather , friend & colleague.
Kenny was never happier then helping others and just doing all the unseen work to keep thinks along. My deepest sympathies to his Family in this time.
His 2 main hobbies Golf and fishing where he played at Lamberhurst Golf Club and fished all over with Gary and Friends. With my Dad, Joanne, James and myself he always treated us like family and was so supportive of our mobile business to the point of being cheerleader at our last Golf Day! The last picture on the video is Kenny winning nearest the pin and a Range Rover for the weekend. He also kindly donated to charity and purchased a remote control Land Rover for Grandson Harvey on the day. The last time we played together was at the London Golf Club with Steve Backley and Kenny took the money. He was a fine golfer but was so proud of his son Gary who twice won the Club's Championship and reached a handicap of 1.
I was fortunate to be able to attain my own lakes at Matfield in 2014 - I could not wait to take Ken as many years before I said we will get our own lake one day. He was the first person to fish there just as I wanted and over the past 4 years I would normally see him twice a week. I know Kenny wanted to catch a big carp a PB hopefully and that happened on Lilies lake and I videoed the event and he was so happy.
He will always be Kenny at the lakes as Izzy,Jenny,Erin and Seth would call him.
It hard to comprehend this Covid situation and the life's it has taken and but thank you so much for your support and we had so many fun days.
On behalf of all of us, you will always be in our hearts forever and always.
We are doing these events to raise money for all the NHS staff that helped Kenny in his final days at Tunbridge wells Hospital.
