Story
Hello, thank you for coming to my page! For those of you that know me well, you’ll know food is a big part of my life, and the thought of having to diet and combine that with something I don't enjoy, (exercise!!) is something that I would usually not contemplate!
BUT, I am taking part in the Hospice of St Francis Biggest Loser competition, to raise funds for the most wonderful facility that took care of my mum, my family and 100's of other families and patients dealing with cancer and the aftermath that it leaves behind. I gained alot of weight after losing my mum, it seems apt that coming up to the first year anniversary, I do all I can to get that weight off!! ;-)
I want to raise over £500 (I want to raise alot more!!) to help the Hospice continue their wonderful work, your money could buy so much, for example, this £500 could provide a whole morning of nursing for their In Patient unit, specialist care, emotional support, meals, spiritual guidance, physiotherapy and so much more.
This is going to be a very, very tough and committed challenge for me personally, it is 12 weeks long, but I know what my Mum went through was worse and she faced it with such dignity, I aim to try and do all I can to achieve my goal and my fundraising goal for the Hospice. They care they offer patients is exemplary, as well as the after care for families and children, no one is ever forgotten.
So, please think of me, missing out on Easter Eggs, takeaways, chips and cake, slogging it out in the gym, doing weekly circuit training and weekly fitness classes, plus swimming and a strict calorie controlled diet... and think of my Mum, many of you knew and loved her, she is the reason for me doing this, I hope that you will sponsor me and remember how much she loved the Hospice and what the place meant to her. And, when you see me, ask how the weightloss is going, I need as much support and encouragement as I can get, but your sponsorship is most important! It is so easy to donate, the details are below.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much, I really, really appreciate any amount you can give. xxx
