Fundraising for healthcare for seriously ill children

Vitality Brighton Half Marathon 2017 · 26 February 2017 ·
I'm running the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday 26 February and I'm raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The hospital specialises in paediatrics and provides world class care to hundreds of children every day. It is also a research centre dedicated to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
I have chosen to run for GOSH Children's Charity because my friends' son, Woody has received life-saving treatment from the hospital. He has a very rare genetic anomaly which has affected the formation of many of his organs. In May 2016, he had an operation on his heart and airways at GOSH. They are one of only 2 centres in the UK that can carry out this surgery. The surgery has transformed Woody's life. He can now breathe without difficulty for the first time in his life and is thriving as a result. The team at GOSH saved Woody's life and made it seem like an everyday occurrence which for them, it is. I want to support the excellent work that GOSH do. If you'd like to make a donation to help GOSH continue to provide specialist care for children like Woody, I'd be most grateful.
