Fundraising for Finish Line Fund
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Finish Line Fund provides funding, equipment and sponsorship to East Essex Sports bodies. They are also dedicated to proving a safer environment for sporting activity via funding numerous defibrillators across the community. This is driven by the reasons for the charity’s formation, the tragic death of a local runner at the 2014 Southend half marathon.
In the summer of 2021 a defibrillator they are responsible for was used at Jubilee Beach, Southend in saving a lady.
Recently they’ve funded sports clubs with defibrillators, a host of different equipment and to various event organisers, covered the cost of medical cover on race days.
I’m running the London Marathon raising funds to help them continue their work so please support me.
£675 would fund the cost of another defibrillator that the charity could deploy.
