Story

On Friday 1st January 2010 my cousin Zoe Hogan was taken ill with Meningitis Streptococcal B Bacterial Infection and Septicaemia which also led to multiple organ failure.

Sadly Zoe passed away on 4th January.

Zoe was a fit and healthy, 35 year old mother of two girls, aged 6 and 9.  She was a kind, generous and happy person who would go out of her way to help others.

In honour of Zoe and the smiles and happiness she brought to the world, I have decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in December 2011.

My target is to raise a minimum of £4000.  Please help me in the memory of Zoe so that I can continue to help others.

Meningitis and Septicaemia are deadly diseases that can kill in hours.
Meningitis is the inflamation of the lining around the brain and spinal cord.
Septicaemia is the blood poisoning form of the disease.
