So, the big cycle! On the 30th June, my friend, Tim Foster, and I will be setting off from John O’Groats with the aim of finishing in Lands End 7 days later. That’s averaging around 120 miles a day! The aim is to raise awareness, and money, to help CALM, a magnificent charity that is doing amazing things to raise awareness of a much under-discussed mental illness. 84 MEN COMMIT SUICIDE EACH WEEK! And yet, we are still too ‘manly’ to discuss it, or ask for help.
Over the past few years I’ve been very open about my depression, and it has taken me to depths that you are simply unable to explain to anyone. Yet, with the help of charities like CALM, things are moving in the right direction.
Please give what what you can to help support their work.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men.
