Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Keith had a life time love affair with steam trains. As a child he could be found at the end of a platform ticking off the trains coming in and out of the station in his books. His interest in trains lead to his career in mechanical engineering.
Over the years, Keith took up model making as a hobby and would spend hours creating 00 and 0 gauge models from plans in minute detail, even using a lathe to create whistles and chimneys from brass. Family holidays were always planned to include a visit to a heritage centre.
In later life visits to the National Railway Museum, both in York and Shildon, and the North York Moors Railway were all he wanted to do. He loved visiting with his family and grand-children, introducing them to his life long passion.
