Story
Many of you will know that my youngest son, Bertie was diagnosed with NF1 shortly after birth. NF1 is a form of Neurofibromatosis which is a genetic disorder that can cause tumours to form on nerve tissue. These tumours can develop anywhere in the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and nerves. This is a condition which currently impacts over 25,000 people in the UK.
In September of last year, he was further diagnosed with two tumours on his brain which he is currently undergoing a course of chemotherapy for. Bertie is receiving the best treatment possible at Great Ormond Street and we are lucky to have such amazing support from family, friends and work colleagues. Many rely on the support of charities such as Nerve Tumours UK who do so much great work to support families with Bertie's condition.
Please help me to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause. All support is very much appreciated!
